Trump Pulls Kamala Harris’s Secret Service Detail, Replaces With Walmart Greeter
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a move critics are calling “either diabolical or just lazy,” Donald Trump announced that he has stripped Vice President Kamala Harris of her Secret Service detail and reassigned the job to Earl, a 78-year-old Walmart greeter from Tallahassee who “knows how to keep the riff-raff out.”
Earl, armed only with a whistle, a neon vest, and an unshakable commitment to asking “Do you have a receipt for that?” will now be responsible for Harris’s safety at all public events.
Trump defended the decision at a rally:
“Secret Service? Waste of money. Earl here has been standing by the sliding doors at Walmart for 40 years. He can spot trouble from three counties away. Plus, he works for store credit.”3
Harris, when asked for comment, muttered “this has to be a prank” before being escorted to her car by Earl, who shouted, “Have a blessed day!” at reporters.
Analysts say the move could save the government millions.
